Staff Benefits and Development

NWDS believes that talent development plays a vital role in the success of corporate sustainable development. Therefore, apart from offering a competitive remuneration and welfare package, the Company carries through the conviction of “Nurture Talents with Respect, Care and Trust” and provides a comprehensive training system and talent development program to help our employees advance their career. To foster relationship with our fellow staff, NWDS also holds staff-caring activities frequently to enhance corporate coherence.

Project Xinpeng-NWDS Management Intern Cultivation 2013

“Project Xinpeng-NWDS Management Intern Cultivation” officially launched in March 2013. About a hundred management trainees from Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Shenyang, Chongqing, Tianjin and Ningbo participated in the scheme. The half-year scheme is divided into four stages, including training, internship, assemble training and job rotation to welcome them to join the NWDS family.

Core Talents Nurturing Plan

The Company launched the “Core Talents Nurturing Plan” from September 2011 to May 2013, which included appraisal of management skills, rotation internships and other related contents, with the focus on training senior managers.

NWDS “Caring Our Staff” Campaign Creating Pleasant Working Environment

NWDS Human Resources & Administration Department organized "Caring Our Staff" campaign in 2013 to promote harmony between the Company and its staff. The kick-off ceremony of the Campaign was held during the National General Manager Meeting on 24 April which gathered over 70 senior executive from the Company. Following the kick-off, activities including "Management as Care Leader", "Enhanced Welfare Benefits", "Caring for Staff’s Health", "Store Manager as Care Ambassador", "Caring Tea Breaks", "Caring Bank Accounts" and "Caring Role Model", were launched subsequently.

Stores in the South Eastern China Region Held Autumn Staff Sports Day

To foster the concept of happy working and healthy living, stores in the South Eastern China Region organized a joint Autumn Staff Sports Day on 13 November 2013. With concerted effort of all staff concerned, the event has been concluded with satisfaction. The Sports Day ran smoothly with great order and received overwhelming response with employees’ keen participation, demonstrating their energy and spirit. Besides cultivating employees’ team spirit and cohesion, the goal of training their body was achieved. The Sports Day is not only an occasion for employees to compete on sports ground, the Sportsmanship and the underlying principle of “Friendship first, Competition second” it delivered were far more important.
