(28 March 2012 – Hong Kong) New World Department Store China Limited (“NWDS” or the “Company”; Hong Kong stock code: 825), one of the largest owners and operators of department stores in the PRC, supports “World Autism Awareness Day” by holding charitable premiere tickets selling for the "Son of the Stars”, a autism themed movie, in Hong Kong New World Department Store-Shanghai Pujian Branch Store (“Shanghai Pujian Branch Store”) to raise public awareness of the autistic children in China.

It is estimated that about 35 million people worldwide suffered from autism, and about 8 million patients of all kinds of autism in China alone, among them children autism ranked first in mental illness in China. As to raise the awareness of autism, as well as the care for patients and their families, the United Nations has named 2 April as“World Autism Awareness Day” every year since 2008.

The Company has always been enthusiastic about charity affairs, to cooperate with the premiere of "Son of the Stars”, the autism themed movie that will be held on April 2 in Shanghai Silver City, the Company therefore organized the charity bazaar for premiere tickets.  On 31 March (Saturday), customers not only can buy premiere tickets of "Son of the Stars” with a special charity price of RMB50 (original price RMB80) in Shanghai Pujian Branch Store, but also have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Jacky Xue, the popular singer from “My Style My Show” and the pretty artist Dong Yi Wei in Mainland China, as well as obtaining a food voucher. All proceeds from the charity bazaar for premiere tickets will be donated to the “Shanghai Disabled Persons' Foundation” to help children with autism. Besides, all nine stores of Shanghai Ba Li Chun Tian will offer two premiere tickets to each of their top 5 loyal VIPs with highest accumulative spending from 1 October 2011 to 30 March 2012 respectively, and these VIPs will also be invited to the 31 March event in Shanghai Pujian Branch Store taking photos and getting signatures of the celebrities. At 1 p.m. of the activity day, Jacky Xue and Dong Yi Wei will show up at the promotional event in Shanghai Pujian Branch Store to support the charity bazaar. In addition to brilliant dance performances, Miss Chen Miao, film director of "Son of the Stars” will also interact with the customers in the store.
