(8 Sep 2011 – Hong Kong) New World Department Store China Limited (“NWDS” or the “Company”; Hong Kong stock code: 825), one of the largest owners and operators of department stores in the PRC, jointly organizes the first-ever “Super Stars’ Memorable Collections Exhibition” with Ponte 16 Resort, Macau. Customers can witness nearly 100 invaluable pieces of legendary Hollywood celebrities showcasing in 5 cities across China.  

NWDS takes a broad view of the world by bringing diversified activities to customers. Teamed up with Ponte 16 Resort, Macau, “Super Stars’ Memorable Collections Exhibition” will be held in NWDS’s stores in 5 cities, including Beijing Store, Shanghai Baoshan Branch Store, Tianjin Store, Shenyang Zhonghua Road Branch Store and Harbin Store. The exhibits include Michael Jackson’s white rhinestone glove owned by Ponte 16 Resort, Macau, it was worn in his first performance of Moonwalk in 1983. Besides, a black velvet and white taffeta gown wore by Princess Diana in 1985, a Marilyn Monroe worn dress from the film “River of No Return”, a Elvis Presley signed guitar, a jacket worn by Bruce Lee and a series of stage costumes and props of Muhammad Ali, The Beatles, Madonna and other international stars provided by Julien's Auctions will be displayed in the exhibition. NWDS introduces a number of international superstar treasures to China, creating an unparalleled shopping experience to our customers. Stores of NWDS will organize a series of activities to tie in with the exhibition. Arts performers will be invited by Beijing Store on 8 September to imitate Michael Jackson and other celebrities, unveiling the “Super Stars’ Memorable Collections Exhibition”. 9 stores in Shanghai will invite a professional cosplay team to perform the “Celebrities Cosplay Show”. Tianjin Store will jointly organize “Superstars Comic Competition” with network media. Harbin Store will arrange a professional team to perform Michael Jackson impersonation. In addition, customers attended this extravaganza event will have opportunity to participate in a lucky draw, winning 80 nights of accommodations sponsored by Ponte 16 Resort, Macau, worth more than RMB120,000.
