In line with the new NWDS culture of “Borderless Communication with True Words; Endless Innovation with New Approaches”, NWDS organized various activities to enhance communication and encourage creativity among employees. In August 2011, the NWDS carried out a competition to share and acknowledge excellent marketing programs, in which a lot of outstanding cases were selected. The event also inspired employees’ creative thinking by recognizing outstanding marketing cases and the communication and exchanges among candidates from different regions during the process.
On 13 June 2011, the Company hosted an event in Guilin in recognition of outstanding trainers, at which trainers from all stores gathered together and received their rewards. A total of 68 awards were granted at the ceremony as recognition of the efforts of all the trainers to maintain the operation and service quality of stores nationwide, including “Outstanding Authorized Trainer Awards”, “Outstanding Unauthorized Trainer Awards”, “Annual Diligence Awards” and “Best Region Training Management Awards”. In addition, stores in different cities such as Shenyang, Shanghai, Chengdu and Tianjin conducted various staff contests, including selection of outstanding employee and cashier contest etc., recognizing and rewarding the contribution of staff in different sectors.
On 9 March 2010, 33 NWDS cashiers being excellent at their jobs were rewarded a four-day trip to Seoul. Ambassadors experienced the genuine VIP services and meticulous customer services and learned the concepts of quality services during the visit. The event successfully improved the quality of customer services provided by our staff.
In accordance with the program of New World Group, NWDS Shanghai Management Office and its flagship stores in Shanghai jointly organized “New World Group Trainee NWDS (Shanghai) Internship Program” in March 2010. The one-week intensive training course effectively equipped three management trainees with knowledge and working experience. Through communications, seminars and market research, the program broadened the horizons of them; granting them a deeper understanding of the department store industry, internal management, operations and work flow of an enterprise, therefore greatly enhanced their competitiveness.
