The winners of the Central China Region Semi-Final of “The 1st NWDS Spokesperson” Contest were born successfully. The champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up of the female group were Zhang Qian from Wuhan city, Yao Jing from Wuhan city and Li Qian from Wuhan city respectively; while for the male group, the champion was Li Yin from Wuhan city, 1st runner-up was Ma Jie from Changsha city and 2nd runner-up was Kong Fan Bin from Wuhan city. Regional Semi-Finals concluded with success, a total of 30 representatives from five regions will compete for the Championship in “The 1st NWDS Spokesperson” Final Contest to be held in Beijing.

 ‘The 1st NWDS Spokesperson’ Contest - Eastern Region Semi-Final was successfully held at this store on 24 January 2010 when the champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up of the female group were born. Regional Semi-Finals have already been held successfully in Northeastern district, Northern district, Southwestern District and Eastern District. Central China will be the last region to hold the semi-final, which will be started in this April. The contest will then enter its final stage, unveiling the competition for the Company’s spokesperson.

Winners of the Southwestern Region Semi-Final of "The 1st NWDS Spokesperson" Contest were born. Regional Semi-Final of Northeastern district, Northern district and Southwestern district have been completed successfully while the Eastern Region Semi-Final and the Central Region Semi-Final will be held in January 2010 and April 2010 respectively, leading to a keen competition in the Final contest that will be held in next year.

The winners of the Northeastern Region Semi-Final of "The 1st NWDS Spokesperson" Contest were born.  The 6 winners will strive for the championship of the 1st NWDS Spokesperson in Final contest that will be held in 2010 against winners from other regions.

New World Department Store is going to hold "The 1st NWDS Spokesperson" Contest to tie in with the rebranding of NWDS, aim at inspiring personalized image as well as leading the trend to showcase "New Character". Through the contest, 1 male and 1 female spokesperson will be selected.

The two spokespersons of NWDS will be awarded 1-year spokesperson contract which worths a total of RMB 600,000 prize, entitling to participate the tailor-made spokesperson activities which include attending various club promotional activities organized by over 30 stores of NWDS, be the cover models of "Best of New World" magazine and embracing media interviews etc. To be eligible for NWDS spokesperson, contestant has to be NWDS VIP member, equipping with unique and personalized style, modern and stylish characteristics, enjoying distinctive living style and keens on participating the NWDS club activities.

The primary selection of "The 1st NWDS Spokesperson" Contest will take place in all stores of NWDS. Semi-Final will be held regionally across the 5 regions of NWDS. Each store will elect both male and female representatives to join the regional semi-final and a winner, a first runner-up and a second runner-up of both genders will be chosen respectively, i.e. total 6 contestants for each region, will participate in the final contest that is tentatively planned to be held in Beijing in 2010.
